About this exercise

Before Priya goes on leave, you need her revenue bridge model documented for whoever covers. Fill in exactly these 7 fields in order, one line each: Model name, Owner, Purpose, Inputs, Update steps, Known risks, Last reviewed. Write "[ask Priya]" for anything the notes don't say, and describe only the tabs that exist now. Plain text, no bullets, under 160 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Letting the AI choose the structure. The AI writes a long doc with headings and sections nobody can scan. Try: List the exact 7 fields: "Model name:, Owner:, Purpose:, Inputs:, Update steps:, Known risks:, Last reviewed:"
  • Filling gaps with guesses. The AI invents a review date to complete the template. Try: Add: "Write [ask Priya] for anything not in the notes."
  • Documenting deleted tabs. The AI includes the old Scenario tab from the March notes. Try: Say: "Describe only the current tabs: Inputs, Calc, Output."
  • Vague risks. The AI writes 'check formulas' instead of naming the cell. Try: Ask: "Name the exact cell and assumption at risk."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long, adding lists and formatting you didn't ask for. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 15 words") and state the format: "plain text, no bold."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Lists the exact fields
  • Handles missing info
  • Uses current tabs only
  • Limits each field
  • Sets a length limit
