Pair subject lines with preheaders for a moved webinar
Practice: Asking for a format you can use. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're promoting a free grant-writing webinar to small nonprofits by email. You need exactly 4 numbered lines, each written as Subject | Preheader, with the subject under 7 words and the preheader under 12 words. The webinar moved, so any date must be the new one. No emojis, no ALL CAPS words, and only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for subject lines only. The AI writes a long list of subject lines and forgets the preheader text phones show right under them. Try: Ask for pairs: "Each line: Subject | Preheader."
- Missing the date change. The original date comes first in the notes, so the AI uses Tuesday, March 10. Try: Add: "The webinar moved to Thursday, March 12. Never say Tuesday."
- Letting it shout. Promo emails pull the AI toward emojis, FREE and LAST CHANCE. Try: Add: "No emojis, no ALL CAPS words."
- Getting a formatted report. The AI adds bold headings and explains why each line works. Try: Add: "Output only the numbered list, plain text, no notes."
