Write a street fair booth sign with today's prices
Practice: Asking for a format you can use. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You own Hive & Honey Apiary and need sign text for your booth at the Elm Street Fair. Write exactly 3 numbered lines, each under 9 words: line 1 what you sell, line 2 the corrected prices, line 3 how people can pay. Don't say "raw and unfiltered cures allergies" or any health claim, and reply with only the plain-text lines.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old price. The spring market price comes first. Try: Add: "Honey is $14 now."
- Health claims. Local honey copy often says it helps allergies. Try: Add: "No health or allergy claims."
- Listing Venmo. The AI lists every payment app by habit. Try: Add: "Cash and card only. No Venmo."
- Long sign text. The AI writes sentences nobody reads walking by. Try: Add: "3 lines, each under 7 words."
- Getting formatting. The AI adds a bold headline and emojis. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says what each line does
- Uses the new price
- Rules out health claims
- Gets payment right
- Asks for only the list
