Write a workshop confirmation with the corrected parking info
Practice: Asking for a format you can use. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're writing the confirmation email for Brightpath's in-person data workshop. Write exactly 4 lines labeled When:, Where:, Parking: and Bring:, each under 14 words, using the corrected parking garage. Don't promise lunch (it's light snacks only), and use plain text with nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Writing a full email. The AI writes a greeting, paragraphs and a sign-off. Try: Set the shape: "Exactly 4 labeled lines: When, Where, Parking, Bring."
- Using the old garage. Main St Garage is in the first email. Try: Add: "Parking is the Elm St Garage, validated."
- Promising lunch. Morning workshops in the AI's training include lunch. Try: Add: "Don't mention lunch."
- Trusting the AI to count words. Lines grow into sentences. Try: Cap it: "Each line under 10 words."
- Getting formatting. Labels come back bold. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the 4 lines
- Uses the new garage
- Skips lunch
- Limits each line
- Asks for plain text
