Plan an exam week around work shifts and a moved exam
- For College students
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You have exams this week and a part-time job. Write a 7-day study plan as exactly 7 numbered lines, Monday to Sunday, each like '1. Mon (3h): Chem - topic'. Each day's hours must match the hours you actually have free, and the day before each exam this week is a practice test for that subject. Plain text, under 150 words. One exam just moved, so check the email.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Ignoring your real hours. The AI gives every day the same 3-4 hours, even your double-shift day. Try: Add: "Use exactly these free hours: Mon 3h, Tue 1h ..."
- Missing the moved exam. The exam list says Friday, and the AI plans a Bio cram for Thursday night. Try: Add: "Bio moved to next Tuesday per the email."
- No practice test. The AI spreads review evenly and never schedules a full practice test. Try: Add: "The day before each exam is a practice test for that subject."
- A study guide, not a plan. The AI writes tips, a table and bold headings. Try: Say: "Exactly 7 numbered lines like '1. Mon (3h): Chem - gas laws'. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting words, so a total word cap usually lands over. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Gives the free hours
- Uses the moved exam
- Plans a practice test
- Sets the line count
- Caps the length
