Split a group presentation fairly across the team
- For College students
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
Your group presents a 6-slide, 10-minute marketing case on Friday. Write exactly 6 numbered lines, one per slide in the deck's order, each as 'Slide title - Presenter - N min'. Each remaining teammate presents exactly 2 slides, and the minutes add up to exactly 10. One teammate dropped the course, so leave them out. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping the dropped teammate. Leo's name is in the chat, and the AI gives him slides. Try: Add: "Leo withdrew. Use the new owners from the chat."
- Minutes that don't add up. The AI guesses 2 minutes a slide and ends up at 12. Try: Add: "Minutes must add up to exactly 10."
- Losing the slide order. The AI groups slides by presenter instead of by deck order. Try: Add: "Keep the deck's slide order."
- Letting the AI pick the layout. The AI makes a markdown table with bold headers and tips. Try: Show it: "1. The brand: Fernhill Sodas - Mei - 1 min". Plain text.
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting words, so a total word cap usually lands over. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 12 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Drops the teammate who left
- Sets the total time
- Keeps the slide order
- Shows the line shape
- Caps the length
