Turn government vocabulary into fill-in-the-blank cards
Practice: Asking for a format you can use. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You study Government vocab best with fill-in-the-blank. Get exactly 6 numbered sentences, each with one vocabulary term replaced by '[blank]', then the 6 missing terms under an 'Answers' line at the end, plain text. Use only the terms and definitions from your notes, including Ms. Hughes's correction about the filibuster.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for flashcards. The AI writes term-definition cards, not the fill-in-the-blank style your quiz uses. Try: Show one: "A legislature with two chambers is [blank]."
- Not saying how many sentences. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more sentences than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 6 numbered sentences."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each sentence: "each under 16 words."
- Answers next to each blank. Seeing the answer right away means you never test yourself. Try: Add: "Put all 6 answers at the end under 'Answers'."
- Missing the correction. Your wrong note about the filibuster is still in the material. Try: Add: "Filibusters happen in the Senate, per Ms. Hughes."
What a strong prompt includes
