Compare photosynthesis and cellular respiration side by side

Practice: Asking for a format you can use. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

Your Biology test asks you to compare photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Get exactly 4 numbered lines covering where it happens, inputs, outputs and energy, each in the form 'Feature: Photosynthesis | Respiration', each under 22 words, plain text. Use only your notes, including Mr. Dube's correction about plants.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Asking to compare. The AI writes an essay with extra detail, which is slow to review. Try: Show the shape: "Feature: Photosynthesis | Respiration".
  • Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each side: "each side under 9 words."
  • Missing the correction. Your wrong note about plants is still in the material. Try: Add: "Plants do both, per Mr. Dube."
  • Adding AP details. The AI may add the Calvin cycle and glycolysis. Try: Add: "Only my notes, no AP details."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Says how many lines
  • Shows the line shape
  • Uses the correction
  • Sets a length limit
  • Says to use only the material
