About this exercise
Turn the notes into a 30-60-90 onboarding table with the header row exactly "Day | Milestone | Owner | Exit test" and three rows for Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90. Go-live is Day 60 at the earliest, not Day 45. Every Owner is a named person from the notes. Plain text, under 100 words, table only.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising Day 45. The CFO's wish appears in the notes and the AI schedules it. Try: Say: "Go-live is Day 60 at the earliest, not Day 45."
- Teams as owners. The AI writes 'IT team' or 'Customer Success' as the owner. Try: Say: "Owners are named people from the notes."
- Wrong table. The AI adds notes or columns. Try: Give the exact header and three rows.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
- Gives the header
- Fixes the go-live
