Prepare short answers to four tough QBR questions
- For Executives
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Prepare for four tough questions from the customer's VP at the QBR. Output "Q:" then "A:" on the next line for each, four pairs. Each answer is under 25 words, honest about the numbers, and promises no feature or date that isn't committed. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising the template date. The AI invents a release quarter to sound confident. Try: Add: "Promise no date; say beta, no release date."
- Agreeing to the discount. The AI says yes or maybe to 10%. Try: Say: "Do not agree to a discount; it needs approval."
- Hiding the drop. The AI softens the numbers or blames the customer. Try: Say: "Use the real numbers: 310 to 262."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes talking points in paragraphs. Try: Show: Q: line then A: line, four pairs.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
What a strong prompt includes
