About this exercise

Write a note for the CEO, Rosa, about a saved account. Exactly 2 sentences, plain text. The first word is "Saved:". Include the ARR and the two-year renewal. Name the two actions that helped. Do not add any customer quote.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using the quote. The CRM quote sounds great and the AI includes it as the customer's words. Try: Add: "No customer quote."
  • Missing the actions. The AI celebrates without saying what worked. Try: Say: "Name the executive call and the two training sessions."
  • Too long. The AI writes a full paragraph. Try: Say: "Exactly 2 sentences, first word Saved:."
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Letting the sentences run on. The AI writes as many sentences as it likes. Try: Name the cap: "at most N sentences".

What a strong prompt includes

  • Asks for plain text
  • Caps the sentences
  • Counts sentences
  • Bans a quote
