Work out a missing-items credit from the policy tiers
- For Customer support teams
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Decide the credit for a delivery order with missing items. Write exactly three lines starting "Missing:", "Credit math:" and "Reply:". Credit math shows the sum. Reply is one sentence starting "Hi Luis," with no apology words. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Refunding the whole order. The customer and the agent comment push for $34. Try: Say: "Fees and tip are not refunded. Follow the policy."
- Forgetting the apology credit. The AI credits only $22. Try: Say: "Two items missing adds a $3 apology credit."
- Apologizing in words. The AI writes 'sorry for the trouble'. Try: Add: "No apology words."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Name the three labels.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
