About this exercise

Build the agenda for the CEO's visit to the Reno plant in plain text. One line per item in the form HH:MM-HH:MM Item - who. Start at 09:00. Items are consecutive in this order: safety briefing, plant tour, lunch with line workers, leadership review, customer call, wrap-up. Use the minutes in the notes, and the last item must end by 13:00 so she makes her flight. If it does not fit, shorten the leadership review only and say so on a last line starting "Shortened:".

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Old tour length. The AI uses 60 minutes. Try: Say: "The tour is 45 minutes now."
  • Shortening the wrong item. The AI cuts the customer call or lunch. Try: Say: "Shorten the leadership review only, so everything ends at 13:00."
  • Missing Shortened line. The AI hides the cut. Try: Say: "End with Shortened: and the new length."
  • Markdown. The AI uses a table. Try: Say: "Plain text lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 12 words."
