About this exercise
Board materials go out Friday Nov 15 at noon. Write a checklist in plain text with exactly 7 lines, each in the form: [ ] item - owner - due. Order by due date, earliest first, and use the corrected dates and owners from the notes. Do not include anything marked as not for the board.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old date. The AI keeps Nov 11 for the financials. Try: Say: "Finance moved it to Nov 12."
- Including off-limits items. The AI adds the comp memo. Try: Say: "Leave out committee-only items and the lunch."
- Wrong count or order. The AI lists 9 items by topic. Try: Say: "Exactly 7 lines, earliest due first."
- Markdown. The AI adds bold or bullets. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 18 words."
