- For Executive assistants
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Convert your executive's scheduling preferences into exactly 6 numbered rules in the form: 1. IF ... THEN ... Use exact times and numbers from the notes, one rule per preference, and use the later instruction when two conflict. Plain text, each rule under 22 words, nothing before or after the list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old time. The AI keeps 10:00. Try: Say: "Use the later instruction: 10:30."
- Losing the numbers. The AI writes 'avoid vendors'. Try: Say: "Keep exact numbers: 90 days, 30 minutes, 15-minute breaks."
- Adding extra rules. The AI makes a rule for Sunday or the cat. Try: Say: "Exactly 6 rules; the board exception goes inside a rule."
- Markdown. The AI bolds IF and THEN. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each rule: "each rule under 22 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
