About this exercise

Rewrite the four findings so each states the number and ends with a so-what. Write exactly 4 numbered lines in the form: 1. Finding. So what: implication. Each line is under 30 words, uses the numbers in the notes only, and the so-what is an action the client can take, not a restatement. Use the corrected number for finding 3.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Old returns figure. The AI uses 9%. Try: Say: "Returns were 11% (corrected)."
  • Restating. The AI writes 'this shows sales are higher'. Try: Say: "The so-what is an action the client can take."
  • Breaking constraints. The AI suggests a new warehouse or closing stores. Try: Say: "Respect the client's constraints."
  • Wrong format. The AI writes paragraphs. Try: Say: "Format: 1. Finding. So what: ..."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 30 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
  • Adding bold and notes. The AI bolds text and adds a title or notes around the answer. Try: Say: "Plain text only: no bold, no headings, no notes."
