- For Executive assistants
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Your CEO, Renata, meets Brightwater Logistics tomorrow and wants a briefing card she can read in 2 minutes. Fill exactly these 5 labeled lines, in order: Who, Why we're meeting, Account health, Watch out for, Your ask. Plain text, under 150 words. Account health must use the renewal amount Finance confirmed, and anything not confirmed must be marked (unconfirmed).
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving the card's fields. The AI writes a long prose briefing with its own headings. Try: List the labels: "Exactly 5 lines: Who:, Why we're meeting:, Account health:, Watch out for:, Your ask:"
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI drifts past word limits, especially on briefings. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 25 words."
- Using the old renewal number. The CRM forecast comes first, so the AI repeats $520,000. Try: Say: "Use Finance's confirmed renewal amount, not the AE forecast."
- Treating a rumor as fact. The AI repeats the Slack hearsay as if it were known. Try: Add: "Mark anything not confirmed as (unconfirmed)."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the reader and timing
- Lists the five labels
- Says which number to trust
- Flags unconfirmed info
