- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Build an escalation matrix as a markdown table with columns Severity, Example, Call first, Within, Then. Exactly 3 rows (Sev 1, Sev 2, Sev 3). Use only names, phone numbers and times from the notes, and the later update where two sources differ. Output only the table.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old Sev 2 contact. The AI keeps Dana Lee for Sev 2. Try: Say: "Sev 2 first call moved to Omar Reyes."
- Including the CEO. The AI adds the CEO's number. Try: Say: "Only escalation contacts."
- Wrong window. The AI uses 15 minutes. Try: Say: "Sev 1 is within 5 minutes."
- Wrong columns. The AI changes headers. Try: Say: "Columns: Severity, Example, Call first, Within, Then."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each cell: "each cell under 14 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
- Adding bold and notes. The AI bolds names and adds a title and notes. Try: Say: "Plain text: only the table, no bold, no title."
