About this exercise
Prepare a prep sheet for your executive, Samira Haddad, for tomorrow's 30-minute call with a prospective partner. Plain text, under 150 words, with these headings on their own lines in this order: Goal, Who is on the call, Know before you go, Likely asks, Do not commit to. Use only the notes. If a name or title is unconfirmed, write (unconfirmed) after it.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Different headings. The AI picks its own headings. Try: Say: "Use these five headings, in order."
- Stating rumors as facts. The AI says Northgate has $300M revenue. Try: Say: "Mark unconfirmed items (unconfirmed) or leave them out."
- Missing commitments to avoid. The AI omits the do-not-commit list. Try: Say: "List exclusivity, pricing and commission under Do not commit to."
- Markdown bullets. The AI uses bullets and bold. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bullets."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each section: "each section under 30 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
