Turn meeting chatter into minutes with decisions and owners
- For Project managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write minutes from the transcript notes in plain text with exactly three headings on their own lines: Decisions, Actions, Open questions. Under Decisions list only what the group agreed. Each Action line reads: Owner - task - due date. If a transcript line has no owner or date, write "owner needed" or "date needed". Under 170 words and no names of attendees at the top.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Listing debate as decisions. The AI treats the ad budget as decided. Try: Say: "Decisions only where the group agreed."
- Using the old day. The AI keeps Monday for Teo. Try: Say: "Teo corrected it to Tuesday."
- Inventing owners. The AI assigns the videos to someone. Try: Say: "Write 'owner needed' and 'date needed' when missing."
- Padding. The AI adds an attendee list and small talk. Try: Say: "No attendee list, no small talk."
- Markdown. The AI uses bold and bullets. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 20 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
