Turn a QBR recap into a follow-up tracker table
- For Project managers
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Build a follow-up tracker from this QBR recap and the emails after it. Make a table with columns Follow-up, Owner, Due, Status, where Status is exactly Open or Done. Mark items Done only if a later email says so. Output only the table.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving the columns and statuses. The AI writes a bulleted recap or invents statuses like "In progress" or "Delayed". Try: Say: "Columns Follow-up, Owner, Due, Status. Status is exactly Open or Done."
- Guessing what's done. The AI marks items Done because someone said they'd try. Try: Add: "Done only if an email says it was sent or finished."
- Adding commentary. The AI adds a summary and suggestions after the table. Try: Add: "Output only the table."
What a strong prompt includes
