About this exercise

Write a summary for CFO Rita Okonkwo, who reads only three lines, in plain text. Exactly 3 lines labeled Pick:, Why:, Watch:. Each line is under 25 words. Pick names one vendor with its 3-year cost as a sum. Why gives the one strongest reason using the notes. Watch gives the one risk to monitor. Use the corrected quote, and never recommend a vendor whose security review is incomplete.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Recommending an incomplete review. The AI picks Ledgerly for cost. Try: Say: "Never recommend a vendor whose security review is incomplete."
  • Skipping the sum. The AI says 'about $50k'. Try: Say: "Show the 3-year cost as a sum."
  • Using the first quote. The AI compares Ledgerly at $11,000. Try: Say: "Use the corrected Ledgerly quote."
  • Wrong structure. The AI writes a table. Try: Say: "Exactly three labeled lines."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds labels. Try: Say: "Plain text."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each under 25 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
