Share engagement survey results with staff, one action included
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're sharing engagement survey results with all staff. Write exactly 3 bullets labeled Strength:, Concern: and Next step:, each with the company-wide percentage from your notes, plain text, under 70 words. Report only company-wide results, never a result for a group under the anonymity threshold, and make the next step the one leadership committed to.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking to 'summarize the results'. The AI writes a long report with every number and team breakdowns. Try: Be exact: "3 bullets: Strength:, Concern:, Next step:. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each bullet instead: "each bullet under 18 words."
- Sharing small-group results. Team numbers are in the notes, and the meter reading result looks dramatic. Try: Add: "Company-wide numbers only. Never team results."
- Vague next step. The AI says 'we'll work on career growth' or lists ideas that aren't committed. Try: Add: "Next step: internal job board and career-path guides by March 31."
