Get your French paragraph corrected without a rewrite
- For College students
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You wrote a short French paragraph for homework and want to learn from your mistakes, not copy a fixed version. Get exactly 4 numbered corrections formatted "1. wrong -> right: reason", with each reason in English under 12 words, under 90 words in total, plain text, and no rewritten paragraph. Your professor told you in class that using "on" for "we" is fine here, so it must not be corrected.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Getting a corrected copy. Ask to 'correct' and the AI hands back a clean paragraph, so you learn nothing and can't turn it in. Try: Add: "Don't rewrite the paragraph. List each mistake as wrong -> right: reason."
- Not saying what's allowed. The AI may 'fix' every 'on' to 'nous', even though your professor said it's fine. Try: Add: "Using 'on' for 'we' is fine; don't correct it."
- Not showing the line shape. The AI explains each mistake in long paragraphs, often in French. Try: Show it: "1. Je suis 19 ans -> J'ai 19 ans: age uses avoir."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each reason: "each reason in English, under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI adds bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in your notebook. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
