Get a short Portuguese reading with questions at your level
- For College students
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You're in Portuguese 102 and want reading practice with this week's words. Get a short Portuguese text using all 6 vocabulary words, present tense only, then exactly 3 numbered comprehension questions in English, then a line "Answers" and the answers in English. Under 150 words in total, plain text, with no translation of the text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving the word list. The AI writes a natural market story that skips most of this week's words. Try: Add: "Use all 6 words: feira, barato, troco, barraca, escolher, pesar."
- Not giving your level. The AI mixes in past tenses you haven't learned and European forms like 'tu'. Try: Add: "A2 Brazilian Portuguese, present tense only, você not tu."
- Getting a translation. The AI adds an English translation, so you read that instead of the Portuguese. Try: Add: "No translation. Questions in English, answers under 'Answers'."
- No length or count. The AI writes a long text with many questions, which is exactly what makes you panic. Try: Be exact: "Text of 60 to 80 words, then exactly 3 numbered questions."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI adds bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in a printed practice sheet. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
