About this exercise

You just became manager of a 6-person support team. Draft your 30-60-90 plan as a markdown table with columns Window, Goal, Evidence of progress. Exactly three rows (Days 1-30, Days 31-60, Days 61-90). Each cell is under 18 words. Use only facts in the notes, and mark anything you had to assume with (assumption). Each Goal cell ends with its date: by Feb 5, by Mar 7 or by Apr 6.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Wrong table shape. The AI adds extra columns or more than three rows. Try: Say: "Columns exactly Window, Goal, Evidence of progress; three rows."
  • Generic goals. The AI writes 'build relationships' instead of using the 14 hour figure and the March 15 date. Try: Say: "Use specific numbers and dates from my notes."
  • Planning a frozen hire. The AI adds 'hire another agent' although headcount is frozen. Try: Say: "Headcount is frozen until April; do not plan hiring."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each cell: "each cell under 18 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
  • Adding bold and notes. The AI wraps the table in headings, bold text and tips. Try: Say: "Plain text: only the table, no bold, no notes."

What a strong prompt includes
