About this exercise
Managers will repeat your news to their teams on Monday. Write cascade talking points in plain text: exactly 3 lines starting with "Say:", then 1 line starting with "If asked about layoffs:" and 1 line starting with "Do not say:". Each line is under 25 words, spoken-friendly and uses only confirmed facts. No greeting or closing.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising job security. The AI reassures with 'no one will lose their job'. Try: Say: "Never promise jobs are safe; for layoffs questions say 'I don't have more to share'."
- Sharing unconfirmed items. The AI mentions the Q2 modeling or Lee's mood. Try: Say: "Confirmed facts only."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes a speech. Try: Say: "Three Say lines, one If asked line, one Do not say line."
- Markdown. The AI uses bold labels. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 25 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
