About this exercise
Delegate planning of the team offsite to Rosa in an email. Plain text, subject first, under 150 words, with these labeled lines: Goal, Budget limit, Decide yourself, Ask me first, Done by. Use only the notes and the final figures. End with one sentence of thanks and nothing after it.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old budget. The AI uses $5,000. Try: Say: "Budget is $4,200 after Finance's cut."
- Missing labels. The AI writes friendly paragraphs. Try: Say: "Use the five labels exactly."
- Extra commentary. The AI mentions the ropes course or reassures her about budgets. Try: Say: "Leave out the ropes course and don't comment on her confidence."
- Markdown. The AI bolds labels. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 25 words."
