About this exercise

Write a glossary of the five KPIs in the notes for new stakeholders. Write exactly 5 numbered lines in the form: 1. KPI: one-sentence definition. Each definition is under 40 words, gives the formula in words, uses the numbers from the notes as an example, and avoids the words utilize, leverage and holistic. Use the corrected churn definition.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Old churn definition. The AI divides by the end-of-month count. Try: Say: "Churn divides by customers at the start of the month."
  • No example. The AI defines without numbers. Try: Say: "Use the example numbers."
  • Jargon words. The AI uses 'leverage' and 'holistic'. Try: Say: "Ban utilize, leverage, holistic."
  • Wrong format. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Say: "Five numbered lines: 1. KPI: definition."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds the KPI names. Try: Say: "Plain text."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each: "each under 20 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
