About this exercise
Plan your new analyst Zoe's first 30 days in plain text. Start Monday Jan 6. Write 5 dated lines, one per week, each in the form Wk N (Mon Jan X): outcome. Each outcome is checkable and fits the calendar: no outcome may require Zoe's work on blocked days, including the Jan 20 holiday. End with a line starting "Day 30 check:" with the one question you will ask her. Use only the notes.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Scheduling on blocked days. The AI plans solo work during the offsite. Try: Say: "Respect the blocked and holiday days."
- Vague outcomes. The AI writes 'get familiar with the team'. Try: Say: "Each outcome is checkable."
- Missing the Day 30 line. The AI ends with a summary. Try: Say: "End with Day 30 check: and one question."
- Markdown. The AI makes a table. Try: Say: "Plain text lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 25 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
