About this exercise
Your new hire, Tasha, starts Monday at your landscaping company. Write a first-week checklist in plain text: five lines, one per day, in the form Mon: [ ] task - who. Use only the notes, and put the safety training on the day the notes say. Last line: Friday check-in: with the one question you will ask her.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old training day. The AI puts safety on Thursday. Try: Say: "Safety training moved to Tuesday."
- Wrong format. The AI uses a paragraph. Try: Say: "Format: Mon: [ ] task - who."
- Adding truck driving. The AI adds a driving task. Try: Say: "She won't drive this week."
- Markdown. The AI uses a table. Try: Say: "Plain text, one line per day."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 16 words."
