About this exercise
Imagine the team offsite on Dec 5 went badly. List exactly 5 ways it failed that you can prevent, as a plain-text checklist. Each line starts with [ ] and has the form: failure - check - owner - by date. Use only dates and owners from the notes. Skip anything the notes say you cannot control.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including uncontrollables. The AI adds the snow storm. Try: Say: "Skip anything I can't control."
- Old agenda date. The AI uses Nov 29. Try: Say: "The agenda deadline is Nov 27."
- Missing owner or date. The AI leaves them off. Try: Say: "Each line: failure - check - owner - by date."
- Wrong count. The AI lists 8. Try: Say: "Exactly 5 lines."
- Markdown. The AI uses bold. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 22 words."
