About this exercise

Your team is nervous about a new quarterly goal process. Write an FAQ with exactly 5 questions, numbered, each followed by a one-line answer on the next line starting with A:. Answers are under 25 words, use only the facts in the notes, and say "not decided yet" for undecided items. Plain text.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Missing the A: lines. The AI merges question and answer on one line. Try: Say: "Put the answer on the next line, starting with A:."
  • Using the old cadence. The AI says weekly check-ins. Try: Say: "Check-ins are every other Friday, not weekly."
  • Inventing answers. The AI makes up an answer on individual goals, bonuses or the tool. Try: Say: "For undecided items write 'not decided yet' and the date if known."
  • Wrong count. The AI writes 7 or 10 questions. Try: Say: "Exactly 5 numbered questions."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds each question. Try: Say: "Plain text only."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each answer: "each answer under 25 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
