About this exercise

Your support team's goal list mixes real outcomes with chores. Turn it into a table with exactly these columns in order: Objective | Key result | Baseline | Target. Write 2 objectives with 3 key results each, and every key result must be a number with a baseline and target from the list, not a task. Use no bullets, keep it under 200 words, and end with one line starting "Not OKRs:" that names the items you left out because they are tasks.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Turning tasks into key results. The AI keeps 'migrate the macros' as a key result because it's on the list. Try: Add: "Key results must be numbers with a baseline and target, never tasks."
  • Not fixing the shape. The AI writes nested bullets under each objective. Try: Ask for it: "A table with columns Objective | Key result | Baseline | Target. No bullets."
  • Missing the correction. The AI uses the 9-hour figure from the whiteboard. Try: Add: "Use Tomas's correction: first response is 6 hours."
  • Not saying where the rest goes. The AI quietly drops the chores or keeps all of them. Try: Add: "End with one line: Not OKRs: and list the tasks you left out."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead: "each line under 15 words."

What a strong prompt includes
