- For Product managers
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write a pricing test plan in plain text with these labeled lines in order: Hypothesis, Metric, Test groups, Duration, Stop rule, Decision owner. Each line is under 22 words. Use only the numbers in the notes and the final duration. Stop rule must be a numeric threshold from the notes. Do not include any revenue forecast or projected result numbers.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old duration. The AI uses 2 weeks. Try: Say: "Duration is 4 weeks."
- Predicting the outcome. The AI says it will increase revenue. Try: Say: "Don't predict the result; leave out the forecast."
- Vague stop rule. The AI says 'stop if it performs badly'. Try: Say: "Use the numeric threshold: below 6.0% after 400 signups."
- Missing labels. The AI writes a narrative. Try: Say: "Six labels in order."
- Markdown. The AI uses a table. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each under 22 words."
