About this exercise
Write a Slack post for your 8-person print shop announcing the three priorities for Q1. Plain text, no emojis, no bold, under 75 words. Line 1: Q1 priorities (exactly those words). Then exactly 3 numbered lines, each with the priority and its measurable target. Last line: Not a priority this quarter: and the one thing from the notes you are saying no to.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Wrong first line. The AI starts with 'Hi team!'. Try: Say: "Line 1 is exactly: Q1 priorities."
- Old target. The AI uses 4 days. Try: Say: "Turnaround target is 3 days now."
- Listing every 'no'. The AI lists the website and the designer too. Try: Say: "Last line names only the T-shirt store."
- Formatting. The AI adds emojis and bold. Try: Say: "Plain text, no emojis."
- Wrong number of items. The AI lists 6 priorities. Try: Say: "Exactly 3 numbered lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 14 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
