Turn team input into three behavior-based values
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Your team voted on what they want your culture to be. Write exactly 3 numbered values, one for each of the three most-mentioned themes, formatted as "Name: We ..." where the sentence describes something people can see us do. No buzzwords like excellence, passion or synergy. Under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Ignoring the counts. The AI picks themes it likes, like 'Have fun', instead of the top three. Try: Add: "Use the three themes with the most notes."
- Abstract values. The AI writes noble words with no behavior anyone could see. Try: Say: "Format: Name: We ... and describe something people can see us do."
- Reusing the poster. The AI blends in excellence or synergy because they're in the material. Try: Add: "No buzzwords: excellence, passion, integrity, synergy."
- Writing a values manifesto. The AI adds an intro paragraph and five or more values. Try: Say: "Exactly 3 numbered values, nothing else."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
