Share team pulse survey results as keep, change, try
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're sharing your team's pulse survey results at Monday's meeting. Write exactly 3 lines labeled Keep:, Change: and Try:, each with one point backed by a number from the survey, plain text, under 60 words. Never quote or paraphrase a single person's comment, and make 'Try' the experiment the team voted for.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking to 'summarize the survey'. The AI lists every score and comment under headings. Try: Show the shape: "3 lines labeled Keep:, Change:, Try:. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line instead: "each line under 16 words."
- Picking the wrong experiment. The standup cap sounds sensible, so the AI may suggest it. Try: Add: "Try: no-meeting Wednesday afternoons, the team's vote winner."
- Identifying people. The comments are vivid, so the AI quotes or paraphrases them. Try: Add: "Percentages only. Never quote or paraphrase a comment."
