Write a farmers market chalkboard with this week's prices
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You run Two Creeks Farm's stand at the Saturday farmers market and need text for the chalkboard sign. Write exactly 4 numbered lines, each written as Item - price and under 7 words, for the 4 items you actually have this week at this week's prices. Never write "organic" (you're not certified), and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Copying the usual board. The AI lists all 5 usual items at the usual prices. Try: Add: "Corn is done. Use this week's prices from Mel's note."
- Adding "organic". No-spray farm notes push the AI toward "organic". Try: Add: "Never say organic. No-spray is fine."
- Writing sentences. The AI writes descriptions too long for a chalkboard. Try: Show it: "Item - price, under 6 words."
- Getting formatting. The AI adds a bold heading and a welcome line. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says how many
- Uses this week's prices
- Drops the corn
- Rules out organic
- Asks for only the list
