Write launch caption variants with exactly two hashtags
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You own Nightjar Candle Co. and are launching a winter collection on Instagram. Write exactly 3 numbered caption variants, each under 30 words, each with the corrected launch date and ending with exactly the 2 brand hashtags. No emojis and no "selling out fast" pressure, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old date. Friday, Nov 14 comes first in the notes. Try: Add: "Launch is Saturday, Nov 15, 10am."
- Piling on hashtags. The AI adds #candles #cozy #hygge and more. Try: Add: "End with exactly #NightjarCandles #WinterAtNightjar, no others."
- Fake scarcity. "Selling out fast!" is the AI's default launch line. Try: Add: "No selling out fast or limited stock. No emojis."
- Getting labeled variants. The AI bolds variant names and adds posting tips. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered captions, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Uses the new date
- Sets the hashtags
- Rules out emojis and pressure
- Says how many
- Asks for only the list
