Write an open house caption that describes the home, not the buyer

Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

You're an agent posting an Instagram caption for Sunday's open house. Keep it under 60 words, put the address and open house time in the first line, use the reduced price, and describe the property only, never the kind of person who should buy it (no "perfect for families" or "young couples"). No "won't last" pressure lines, and plain text.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Not saying what goes first. The AI opens with a hook like "Dreaming of a new home?" and buries the address. Try: Add: "First line: address and open house time."
  • Using the old price. The original $575,000 comes first, and the AI uses it. Try: Add: "Price is $549,000 after the Nov 10 reduction."
  • Describing the buyer. AI copies the seller's "perfect for a young family" and adds "won't last" urgency. Try: Add: "Describe the property only. No who-it's-for or won't-last lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. Captions come back at 90 words with emoji bullet lists. Try: Cap it: "First line, then 3 short sentences under 10 words each."
  • Getting formatting. The AI bolds the price or adds a heading. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold."
