Write SMS promo variants with the corrected code
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're testing SMS copy for Alpine Thread's winter sale. Write exactly 3 numbered text variants, each under 30 words, each using the corrected promo code and ending with "Reply STOP to opt out". Don't say the sale includes outerwear (it doesn't), no emojis, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old code. SNOW20 shows up first in the notes. Try: Add: "The code is SNOW15. Never SNOW20."
- Forgetting the opt-out line. The AI doesn't know your vendor requires it. Try: Add: "End each with: Reply STOP to opt out"
- Overselling the sale. The AI says "everything" or names jackets to sound bigger. Try: Add: "Name sweaters, base layers or socks. No outerwear."
- Decorating with emojis. Sale texts in the AI's training are full of snowflakes. Try: Add: "No emojis."
- Getting labeled variants. The AI adds bold labels like "Variant A (urgent)". Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
