Plan a listing's launch week around the photographer's new date
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're listing a home and planning launch week for your team. You want exactly 5 numbered lines, Monday to Friday, each as day - task - who, under 50 words, plain text. The MLS listing can only go live after photos are delivered, and the photographer moved her shoot, so shift the plan to fit. Write a prompt that gets you exactly that.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping the draft. The draft is the clearest list, so the AI keeps Tuesday photos and Wednesday MLS. Try: Add: "Rosa moved the shoot to Wednesday; photos arrive Thursday."
- Ignoring the order rule. The AI moves photos but leaves MLS on Wednesday. Try: Add: "MLS goes live only after photos are delivered; social the day after."
- Dropping who does it. The AI lists tasks without names. Try: Add: "Each line: day - task - who."
- Letting the AI add extras. The AI adds the yard sign and open house. Try: Add: "Only launch week tasks. Plain text, numbered."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for "under 50 words" and it often lands well over. Try: Cap each part instead: "each line under 8 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says how many lines
- Uses the new shoot date
- States the order rule
- Shows the line shape
- Sets a word limit
