- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
You're building the Q3 QBR deck for the sales leadership team. Give exactly 5 slides as lines starting "Slide 1:" through "Slide 5:", each with a title and one line of content. Slide 1 must be results against target, and Slide 5 must be titled "Asks" with the two asks from your notes. Leave out anything that's still a rumor. Plain text, under 130 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Letting the AI pick the order. The AI often opens with wins or an agenda slide. Try: Add: "Slide 1: results vs target. Slide 5: Asks."
- Including rumors. The AI treats every line in your notes as deck content. Try: Add: "Leave out the merger rumor; it's not official."
- No slide count. The AI writes 10 to 12 slides with speaker notes. Try: Add: "Exactly 5 slides, one line each: Slide N: Title - content."
- Getting markdown. The AI uses headings and bold for each slide. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold or headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets slide count
- Fixes first and last slides
- Leaves out the rumor
- Says who it's for
- Asks for plain text
