Draft quota allocation by territory potential and mark it a draft
- For Executives
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Make a markdown table with columns Territory | Potential | Share | Quota $M and one row per territory, then a Total row. Share is potential divided by total potential, whole-number percent. Quota = share x total quota, shown with one decimal like 4.2. The quotas must add up to the total quota. Last line exactly: "Draft for Sales Leadership approval." No bold, under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old model. The AI uses v2. Try: Add: "Use model v3 only."
- Quotas don't add up. The AI rounds each share and totals 12.1. Try: Add: "Quotas must add to 12.0."
- Missing the draft line. The AI writes commentary. Try: Add: "End with exactly: Draft for Sales Leadership approval."
- Bold and extras. The AI bolds the Total and adds notes. Try: Add: "No bold; nothing else."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- Defines share and quota
- Requires the sum
- Adds the exact last line
