- For Revenue operations
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Make a markdown table with columns Territory | Potential | vs average | Flag. vs average is (potential minus average) divided by average, as a whole-number percent with a sign like +33% or -22%. Flag is Over if above +30%, Under if below -30%, otherwise OK. Compute the average of the four territories first and state it on one line after the table starting "Average:". No bold and under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old model. The AI picks the v2 numbers. Try: Add: "Use model v3 only."
- Wrong base. The AI divides by the total. Try: Add: "vs average = (potential - average) / average."
- Gut feeling on Central. The AI flags Central Under because it feels tiny. Try: Add: "Flag by the rule, not opinion."
- Bold and commentary. The AI bolds East and adds analysis. Try: Add: "No bold; table plus the Average: line only."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- Defines the formula
- Sets flag thresholds
- Adds the Average line
- Plain output
