About this exercise
You're running a 30-minute demo for Northgate Schools' business office. The CFO, Paula Brandt, can only stay for the first 10 minutes and cares about cost. Write exactly 5 numbered agenda items with minutes in brackets that add up to 30, put the cost item inside the first 10 minutes, and end with next steps. Under 90 words. Plain text, and start each item with a verb.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not fixing the shape. The AI picks its own structure: headings, extra bullets and more items than you need. Try: Give the shape: "Exactly 5 numbered lines: each with minutes in brackets."
- Following your usual order. The AI puts intros and company history first, so cost lands after the CFO has left. Try: Add: "Paula leaves at minute 10. Cover cost within the first 10 minutes."
- Minutes that don't add up. The AI estimates times loosely, often totaling 35 or 45 minutes. Try: Add: "Minutes in brackets must add up to exactly 30."
- No clear close. The AI ends with Q&A or a wrap-up and no next step. Try: Add: "The last item is next steps."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long when you only give a total like 90 words. Try: Cap each part instead, like "each item under 12 words," so the total lands well under 90.
