- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
You manage Priti, and her deal review is tomorrow. Write exactly 5 numbered questions for the review, each under 20 words. Each question must target a gap in her notes and name a specific fact (a person, date, product or number from the notes). None can be answered yes or no, and none may accuse Priti of anything.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Generic questions. The AI asks 'What is the budget?' and 'Who is the decision maker?' with no facts. Try: Add: "Each question names a specific fact from the notes."
- Yes/no questions. The AI writes 'Has legal received the contract?'. Try: Add: "None can be answered yes or no; start with What, How, Who, When or Walk me through."
- Accusing tone. The AI writes 'Why haven't you...' questions. Try: Add: "None may accuse or blame Priti."
- Wrong count or length. The AI writes eight questions with background. Try: Add: "Exactly 5 numbered questions, each under 20 words."
What a strong prompt includes
