- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write the third email in a sequence to Fiona Grant, plain text under 75 words, subject line first. It must bring one new angle that wasn't used in touches 1 or 2 (use the unused angle from the notes), refer to the previous emails in no more than 5 words, offer a single resource (the 1-page checklist) rather than a meeting, and avoid the phrases "bump", "circling back" and "just checking in".
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Repeating an old angle. The AI restates the 10-day close. Try: Add: "Use only an angle not used in touches 1 or 2."
- Asking for a meeting again. The AI repeats the 15-minute ask. Try: Add: "Offer only the checklist, no meeting."
- Stock follow-up phrases. The AI opens with 'Just circling back'. Try: Add: "Avoid bump, circling back, just checking in."
- Long email. The AI writes a long formatted email. Try: Add: "Plain text under 75 words, subject first."
What a strong prompt includes
- Uses the new angle
- Offers the resource
