About this exercise
Write a first email to a lead who was referred by an existing customer. Plain text under 90 words, subject line first, starting "Hi Noor,". Say that Hector mentioned she was looking at scheduling tools, but do not say Hector recommends or endorses us, do not quote him, and don't share what Hector spends or uses. Ask one question and offer a 15-minute call on one of the two dates in the notes. Line 1 must be exactly "Subject: Scheduling tools at Brightwater".
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Implying an endorsement. The AI says 'Hector recommended us'. Try: Add: "Don't say Hector recommends or endorses us."
- Sharing customer details. The AI mentions how long Hector has been a customer or his spend. Try: Add: "Don't share what Hector spends or uses."
- No single question or dates. The AI asks for 'time next week'. Try: Add: "One question and a 15-minute call on one of the two dates."
- Long email. The AI writes a long email. Try: Add: "Plain text under 90 words, subject first."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the opener
- States what Hector said
- Bans endorsement language
- Offers two dates
- Limits length
